What is the Vaporesso iTank T?

The iTank T is a direct-lung (DL) sub-ohm tank from Vaporesso’s iTank family. It is designed around GTi mesh coils, which heat evenly for dense vapour and strong flavour, and its airflow is shaped to reduce leaking while keeping the draw open. At 6ml it holds more than most pod tanks, so you refill less often, and the spare glass and O-rings in the box let you repair it rather than replace it if the glass cracks.

It is a good choice if you use a Vaporesso or other 510 box mod and want a large, simple mesh tank with widely available coils.

Which Coils Does the iTank T Use?

It takes Vaporesso’s GTi mesh coils. Spares are on our Vaporesso GTi coils page.

GTi 0.22Ω (fitted)

The lower-resistance coil gives the biggest vapour and warmest hit at higher wattage. Use it for open direct-lung vaping with a low-strength freebase e-liquid.

GTi 0.42Ω (spare)

The higher-resistance coil runs at lower power, with slightly cooler, denser vapour and better battery life. Many people prefer it for flavour and everyday use.

Start at the low end of the wattage range printed on each coil and raise it slowly. Replace a coil when the flavour turns muted or burnt.

Which Mods Does It Fit?

The iTank T has a 510 thread and a 24.5mm base, so it fits most 510 box mods that are at least 24–25mm wide. It needs a mod that can deliver sub-ohm wattage comfortably, such as a single or dual 18650/21700 mod. Vaporesso’s own GEN 200 and GEN Max mod kits are examples from our range with plenty of power. If your mod uses removable batteries, use cells with a proper current rating, such as the EFEST 18650 3000mAh.

How to Fill, Prime and Clean the iTank T

1. Open the top-fill cap and remove the silicone refill plug.
2. Fill slowly down the side of the glass, keeping e-liquid out of the centre chimney.
3. Stop just below the top, refit the plug and close the cap.
4. With a new coil, wait about five minutes so the cotton fully soaks.
5. Start at the low end of the coil’s wattage range and adjust the airflow to taste.

To change a coil, empty the tank, unscrew the base, swap the coil and re-prime. Rinse the parts in warm water when changing flavours and let them dry fully.

Best E-Liquid for the iTank T

Use a freebase e-liquid with a high VG ratio (70/30 or higher) at a low strength such as 3mg. Sub-ohm tanks produce a lot of vapour, so strong nicotine salts would be far too harsh.

Troubleshooting: Leaks, Gurgling and Dry Hits

• Leaking: check the O-rings and that the coil is screwed in fully. Do not overfill, and keep the tank out of hot cars in the UAE summer.
• Gurgling or spitting: the coil may be flooded. Take a few short draws without firing, or wrap the tip in tissue and give it a gentle flick.
• Dry or burnt hits: lower the wattage, check the e-liquid level, and make sure new coils are fully primed.
