Which B Series Coil Should You Choose?

B0.2 and B0.4 for more vapour

The B0.2 runs at 50–58W for an open, direct-lung draw and the most vapour; it needs a device that can reach that power and uses e-liquid quickly. The B0.4 at 25–33W is a middle ground: noticeably fuller than MTL, but easier on battery and e-liquid.

B0.6 and B1.2 for flavour and nicotine salts

The B0.6 at 15–25W gives a warm restricted-lung draw that many people find the best balance of flavour and vapour. The B1.2 at 10–14W gives the tightest, cigarette-like mouth-to-lung draw and is the best choice for nicotine salts and the longest battery life.

Understanding Coil Resistance

Resistance, measured in ohms (Ω), decides how much power a coil needs and how the vape feels. Lower resistance coils such as the B0.2 need more watts, heat a larger mesh surface and make more vapour, with a warmer hit. Higher resistance coils such as the B1.2 need less power, produce less vapour and give a cooler, tighter draw. As a rule, the lower the resistance, the lower the nicotine strength you should use, because more vapour carries more nicotine per puff.

How to Install and Prime a B Coil

1. Empty the pod or tank and pull out the old coil.
2. Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the new coil’s exposed cotton.
3. Push the new coil firmly into place.
4. Fill with e-liquid and wait about five minutes so the cotton soaks through.
5. Start at the bottom of the coil’s wattage range and raise it gradually.

How Long Does a B Coil Last?

It depends on wattage, how much you vape and your e-liquid. Lower-wattage coils like the B1.2 generally last longer than the B0.2. Sweet e-liquids with a lot of sweetener caramelise on the mesh and shorten coil life. Change the coil when the flavour turns muted or burnt, the vapour thins, or the pod starts to gurgle.

Best E-Liquid for B Series Coils

Match e-liquid to resistance. With the B1.2 and B0.6, use a nicotine salt or thin 50/50 e-liquid, such as POD SALT Core. With the B0.4 and B0.2, use a low-strength, higher-VG freebase such as VGOD 60ml 3mg.
