Single vs Dual vs Triple vs Quadra: Which M Coil Should You Choose?

Geekvape says the “M” stands for max. All four coils are built for big clouds on a high-power mod. The number in the name tells you how many coil elements sit inside the head.

M0.3 Dual (55–65W)

The Dual runs at the lowest power in the range. It is the gentlest on battery and e-liquid, and a good starting point if you are new to the Z Max Tank.

M0.14 Single (60–80W)

The Single is a very low resistance coil with a single element. It heats quickly and gives dense vapour at 60–80W.

M0.2 Triple (70–85W)

The Triple steps the power up again. More heating surface means more vapour and a warmer draw.

M0.15 Quadra (85–100W)

The Quadra is the top of the range, rated to 100W. It needs a strong mod and a good battery, and it uses e-liquid very quickly.

Which Tanks and Mods Suit M Series Coils?

M Series coils are made for the Geekvape Z Max Tank. They do not fit the Z Series tanks or Geekvape pod kits, which use different coils. Because the coils run at 55–100W, pair the Z Max with a mod that can deliver that power safely:

How Long Does an M Coil Last?

High-power coils wear faster than low-power pod coils, because they move much more e-liquid through the cotton. Sweet e-liquids caramelise on the mesh faster; tobacco and menthol flavours are usually gentler. Running a coil at the top of its range also shortens its life.

Replace the coil when you notice any of these signs:

The flavour turns muted or burnt even after a refill.
The vapour becomes thinner at the same wattage.
The tank starts to gurgle or spit.

How to Fit and Prime an M Coil

Empty the Z Max Tank and unscrew it from the mod.
Pull the old coil out and press the new M coil firmly into place.
Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the cotton through the coil’s wicking holes.
Reassemble the tank, fill it and wait about five minutes so the cotton soaks.
Set the mod to the low end of the coil’s range: 55W for the Dual, 60W for the Single, 70W for the Triple or 85W for the Quadra.
Raise the power slowly until the vapour and flavour feel right.

Never fire a dry coil. At these power levels, a dry coil burns in a single puff.

Best E-Liquid for M Series Coils

M coils are sub-ohm, direct-lung coils. Use a low-strength freebase e-liquid with a high VG ratio, which vaporises cleanly at high power and gives the dense clouds these coils are designed for. High-strength nicotine salts are not suitable at 55–100W. Browse our UAE e-liquids.

UAE Rules for E-Liquid and Coils

Replacement coils contain no nicotine themselves. The rules apply to the e-liquid you use with them. Electronic nicotine products in the UAE must meet UAE.S 5030:2018, which caps e-liquid nicotine at 20mg/mL (2%).
