What is a DTL Disposable?

Most disposables are mouth-to-lung (MTL): you draw vapour into your mouth first, like a cigarette, and they use high-strength nicotine salt. A direct-to-lung (DTL) device like the My Shisha XL works the other way. The airflow is wide open, you inhale straight into your lungs like pulling on a shisha pipe, and it produces much bigger clouds. Because each puff delivers far more vapour, DTL devices use very low nicotine, here 3mg, so the hit stays comfortable. That makes it a natural fit for people who enjoy shisha flavour and big clouds more than a strong nicotine kick.

How Long Does the My Shisha XL Last?

The 16,500 figure is a laboratory rating, and DTL vaping uses more e-liquid per puff than MTL, so real puffs are usually lower. The 29ml of e-liquid is the better guide: it is nearly three times a typical 10ml disposable, and the rechargeable battery means you can use all of it. Our guide to how long disposable vape puffs really last explains what changes the number.

Is the My Shisha XL Within UAE Nicotine Rules?

Electronic nicotine products in the UAE must meet UAE.S 5030:2018, which caps e-liquid nicotine at 20mg/mL (2%). At 3mg/mL, the My Shisha XL is well within that limit. From 1 September 2026, a minimum excise price of AED 1 per mL of e-liquid also applies to vape products in the UAE. Sale is restricted to adults 21 and over. See our guide to vaping laws in Dubai and the UAE.

My Shisha XL vs Other Shisha-Style Disposables

All are low-nicotine DTL devices within the UAE cap. The My Shisha XL has one of the largest e-liquid fills for its price. Browse all disposable vapes.

How to Use the My Shisha XL

1. Remove all packaging and any seal on the mouthpiece.
2. Inhale steadily and directly into your lungs, as you would with shisha. It fires on draw.
3. Take a slow, full draw rather than short sips.
4. Charge it with a Type-C cable when it stops firing or the vapour drops off.
5. When the flavour fades after a full charge, it is finished. Dispose of it responsibly as e-waste.

My Shisha XL Troubleshooting

• Harsh or dry hit: slow your draw and leave a few seconds between puffs so the wick can refill.
• No vapour: charge it first, then check all seals are removed.
• Gurgling: store it upright and avoid hard, fast pulls after it has been lying flat.
• Battery drains fast: DTL uses more power; keep it charged and out of heat and direct sun.
