What is the VOOPOO Drag 5?

The Drag 5 is the fifth-generation dual-battery Drag box mod, sold as a kit with VOOPOO’s UFORCE-X sub-ohm tank. With two 18650 cells it reaches 177W, far beyond any pod kit, and the GENE TT 2.0 chip adds temperature control and an RBA mode for rebuildable atomisers. It is built for direct-lung vaping: big clouds, low-resistance coils and lower-strength freebase e-liquid.

The kit is sold as empty hardware: no e-liquid, nicotine or batteries are included.

Which Batteries Does the Drag 5 Need?

The Drag 5 needs two 18650 batteries, which are not included. Use authentic, high-drain 18650 cells from a recognised battery maker, buy them as a matched pair, and always charge and replace them together. Never use cells with torn wraps. You can charge the batteries in the device over USB Type-C at 5V/3A, but a dedicated external charger is kinder to the cells and lets you check each one.

Battery safety matters more with a high-power mod than with a pod kit. Do not carry loose 18650 cells in a pocket with keys or coins, and never leave the mod or cells in a hot car.

UFORCE-X Tank and PnP X Coils

The UFORCE-X tank holds 5.5ml and fills from the top by sliding the top cap. It has top dual-slot airflow with stepless adjustment, which helps reduce leaks because the air enters above the e-liquid. Two PnP X mesh coils come in the box:

• PnP X 0.15Ω mesh: the lower resistance, for the highest wattage and biggest clouds.
• PnP X 0.3Ω mesh: a little cooler and more economical on e-liquid and battery.

Drag 5 Modes Explained

• Smart: the chip reads the coil and suggests a power level.
• RBA: for rebuildable atomisers you build yourself.
• ECO: a power-saving mode for longer battery life.
• TC: temperature control with Ni, Ti, SS316 and SS430 wire, for coils made from those materials.

UAE Rules for Mods and E-Liquid

The Drag 5 is sold empty, so it contains no nicotine. The rules apply to the e-liquid you fill it with. Electronic nicotine products in the UAE must meet UAE.S 5030:2018, which caps e-liquid nicotine at 20mg/mL (2%). The Drag 6 has a built-in battery, so you never handle loose cells. The Drag X3 is a smaller single-battery pod mod. The Drag 5 is the choice if you prefer swappable 18650 cells and a traditional tank.

How to Use the Drag 5

1. Insert two charged 18650 cells the right way round, following the markings in the battery door.
2. Fit a PnP X coil into the UFORCE-X tank and drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton.
3. Slide the top cap open, fill the tank and close it. Wait about five minutes.
4. Screw the tank onto the mod and let the chip read the coil.
5. Start at the low end of the coil’s wattage range and raise it slowly.

Troubleshooting

• Burnt taste: the coil was not primed, or the wattage is too high. Lower the power and prime new coils.
• “No atomizer” or wrong resistance: check the tank is screwed down and the coil is pushed in fully.
• Spitback: do not overfill, and open the airflow.
• Short battery life: the cells may be old or mismatched. Replace them as a pair.
