Uwell Kalmia Pods — Specifications

Which Device Do Kalmia Pods Fit?

These pods are made for the Uwell Kalmia, a slim, draw-activated pod kit with a 400mAh battery, a maximum output of 13W and USB Type-C charging. Uwell makes several pod families, and they are not interchangeable: Kalmia pods do not fit the Caliburn range, and Caliburn pods do not fit the Kalmia. If you own a Caliburn AK3 or another Caliburn, buy the pods made for that model. You can browse the full Uwell UAE range, or pick up a new Uwell Kalmia kit.

About the 1.2Ω Meshed-H Coil

Every Kalmia pod has the same coil: a 1.2Ω FeCrAl mesh coil built into the pod. At 1.2Ω and the Kalmia’s low power, it gives a tight, cool mouth-to-lung draw that feels close to a cigarette. There is only one resistance, so there is nothing to choose, and when the coil wears out you replace the whole pod. That keeps things simple, which is the point of a small starter kit like the Kalmia.

How Long Does a Kalmia Pod Last?

A pod is finished when its coil wears out, not when the e-liquid runs out. The small 1.6ml tank means frequent refills, but coil life depends on how much you vape and what you fill it with. Sweet dessert and candy e-liquids clog coils faster; tobacco and menthol flavours are gentler. Replace the pod when:

• the flavour turns muted or burnt even after a refill;
• the vapour becomes thin;
• the pod starts to leak or gurgle.

With four pods per pack, most daily vapers have several weeks of use.

How to Fill and Prime a Kalmia Pod

1. Pull the pod out of the Kalmia.
2. Open the silicone stopper on the side of the pod.
3. Fill slowly with e-liquid, stopping just below the top.
4. Close the stopper firmly and wipe the pod dry.
5. Wait at least five minutes so the cotton fully soaks.
6. Click the pod back in and take a few gentle puffs to start.

Never vape a pod dry. A dry coil burns almost instantly and cannot be recovered.

Best E-Liquid for Kalmia Pods

At 1.2Ω and 13W or less, the Kalmia is built for nicotine salt e-liquid, which gives a smooth hit at low power. A thin 50/50 freebase also works. Avoid thick, high-VG e-liquid, which can struggle to soak a small MTL coil and cause dry hits. Browse our UAE e-liquids.

Kalmia Pod Troubleshooting

• Burnt first puff: the pod was not primed. Wait longer after filling next time.
• Leaking: make sure the stopper is fully closed, do not overfill, and store the device upright.
• Weak vapour: check the e-liquid level, and charge the Kalmia; a low battery reduces output.
• Not firing: clean the magnetic contacts with a dry tissue and reseat the pod.

UAE Rules for E-Liquid and Pods

Kalmia pods are sold empty, so the rules apply to what you fill them with. Electronic nicotine products in the UAE must meet UAE.S 5030:2018, which caps e-liquid nicotine at 20mg/mL (2%), and sale is restricted to adults 21 and over. See our guide to vaping laws in Dubai and the UAE.
