What is the Argus Matrix?

The Argus Matrix is a design-led pod kit in VOOPOO’s Argus range. Its front is a curved full screen with an IML finish and LED lighting, set in a zinc alloy frame. Underneath, it is a flexible Argus kit: 10–30W from the GENE AI 2.0 chip, a three-level airflow slider, and the choice to draw to fire or press the button.

It comes with two cartridges, 0.4Ω and 0.7Ω, so you can try a looser restricted direct-lung draw and a tighter mouth-to-lung draw from the start. The kit is sold as empty hardware: no e-liquid or nicotine is included.

Argus Matrix Cartridges

The Matrix uses the Argus Top Fill Cartridge V2, 3ml in the standard version. The two in the box cover both styles:

0.7Ω: a mouth-to-lung draw for nicotine salts.
0.4Ω: a looser RDL draw at higher wattage, for lower-strength freebase.

A compatibility guide in the box lists other Argus cartridges that fit. For spares, see our VOOPOO Argus Top Fill Cartridge listing and check the version against the guide.

Battery and Charging

The 1350mAh battery charges over USB Type-C at 5V/2A, and VOOPOO quotes about 35–45 minutes for a full charge. How long a charge lasts depends on the cartridge and how much you vape. Do not leave the kit charging in a hot car or in direct sun.

UAE Rules for Pod Kits and E-Liquid

The Argus Matrix is sold empty, so it contains no nicotine. The rules apply to the e-liquid you fill it with. Electronic nicotine products in the UAE must meet UAE.S 5030:2018, which caps e-liquid nicotine at 20mg/mL (2%). From 1 September 2026, a minimum excise price of AED 1 per mL of e-liquid also applies. Sale is restricted to adults 21 and over. See our guide to vaping laws in Dubai and the UAE.

Argus Matrix vs Other Argus Kits

Model	Battery	Output	Cartridges in box	Price
Argus Matrix (this page)	1350mAh	10–30W	0.4Ω and 0.7Ω	AED 120
Argus G3 Mini	1350mAh	Up to 30W	0.7Ω	AED 90
Argus E40	1800mAh	5–40W	0.3Ω and 0.6Ω	AED 125

The G3 Mini has the same battery size in a lighter, simpler body for less. The E40 adds more battery and power. The Matrix is the pick if you want the curved screen, a fire button and two cartridges in the box.

How to Use the Argus Matrix

Charge the kit over USB Type-C before first use.
Remove a cartridge and fill it from the top, leaving a little space.
Refit the cartridge and wait about five minutes so the coil soaks.
Set the airflow slider to one of its three levels.
Draw to fire, or press the button.

Troubleshooting

Burnt taste on a new cartridge: the coil was not fully soaked. Wait longer after filling.
No vapour: charge the battery and reseat the cartridge.
Leaking: do not overfill, and keep the kit upright when stored.
Flavour fading: replace the cartridge. Sweet e-liquids wear coils faster.

Who the Argus Matrix Suits

It suits vapers who care about looks as much as performance and want both MTL and RDL cartridges from the start. If you only need a light, simple kit, the Argus G3 Mini costs less.
