RELX is a pod vape brand owned by RLX Technology Inc., a Shenzhen, China company founded in 2018 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, best known for its Infinity pod system and Pod Pro pods. RELX UAE: what we stock

Our RELX UAE range has two groups. The first is RELX’s closed pod system: the Infinity 2 and Artisan devices and the Pod Pro 2 pods that fit them. These use pre-filled pods, so there is no refilling: you click in a new pod when the old one runs out. The second group is RELX disposables for people who want a single, ready-to-use device.

RELX designs its pod system for a smooth mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw, close to a cigarette, which is why it is popular with people switching from smoking.

Who makes RELX?

RELX is the brand of RLX Technology Inc., founded in January 2018 and headquartered in Shenzhen, China. The company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker RLX in January 2021 and describes itself as “a leading global branded e-vapor company” with strong in-house technology and product development (RLX Technology company profile).

RELX runs an R&D centre in Shenzhen and says it set up the first CNAS-standard laboratory for an independent e-cigarette brand. For the original RELX Infinity, the company says it filed patent applications for more than 50 innovations, went through over 40 design revisions and tested more than 12,000 pods. That device won a Red Dot Award for product design in 2020 (Red Dot: RELX Infinity). RELX also markets a “Super Smooth” technology developed by more than 100 R&D scientists.

RELX Infinity 2

The Infinity 2 is RELX’s main pod device. Its current version, the Infinity 2 Plus, has a 440mAh battery that charges to 80% in about 15 minutes over USB Type-C, three power modes (Eco at 6.5W, Smooth at 8W and Boost at 10W) and a four-stage LED indicator. It takes RELX Pod, Pod Pro and Pod Pro 2 pods, and RELX rates each 1.9ml pod at up to 600 puffs (RELX Infinity 2 Plus).

RELX Artisan

The Artisan is RELX’s premium device, with a leather-style finish, USB Type-C charging and SmartPace vibration alerts that let you know when you have been vaping for a while. It takes Pod Pro and RELX Pod pods, so it shares pods with the Infinity.

RELX Pod Pro 2 pods

Pod Pro 2 pods are pre-filled 1.9ml pods. RELX says Pod Pro pods fit the RELX Infinity, Essential and Artisan, while the older Classic pods do not fit the Infinity or Essential. Once a pod is opened, RELX recommends using it within 15 days; unopened pods have an 18-month shelf life (RELX FAQ). RELX’s global site lists its pods at 18mg/ml.

RELX disposables

Alongside the pod system, we list several RELX-branded disposables for the UAE market, including the MagicGo GA4000, Peace 25K, Ace 20000 and Optimus. These are regional models, so their puff counts, nicotine strengths and battery details are given on each product page rather than on RELX’s global site. Choose them if you want a single device with no pods to change.

RELX nicotine strengths and the UAE limit

UAE standard UAE.S 5030:2018 caps e-liquid nicotine at 20mg/mL. RELX’s global site lists its Pod Pro pods at 18mg/ml, and our RELX Peace 25K listing is 20mg. How to choose the right RELX product

If you want something you can use every day and keep costs down, choose a pod device. The Infinity 2 is the practical choice, with three power modes so you can make the hit softer or stronger. The Artisan suits people who want a more premium look and the SmartPace vibration reminder. Both take the same pre-filled Pod Pro pods, so you can switch devices without changing pods.

If you want nothing to charge between pods and nothing to click in, choose a disposable: the Peace 25K at 20mg is the one to start with if you want to stay within the UAE limit. Keep opened pods upright and use them within about two weeks for the best flavour.
